Growing up, the only physical activity I participated in was normal kid stuff (backyard football, baseball, basketball, kickball, etc.) and I was not particularly active throughout high school. I graduated from Owasso High School in Owasso Oklahoma in 2012, then I started college at Tulsa Community College in Fall of 2012. Over the next 2 years I worked at a video store, a financial institution as a teller, and finished my associate’s degree at TCC. I transferred to UCO in 2014 and found CrossFit in 2015. I started doing CrossFit because I found it hard to sit in class and focus due to the amount of energy I had, and needed an outlet for that energy. I soon became consumed with CrossFit and the methodology. I spent all of my free time learning the movements, focusing on technique, and advancing myself as an athlete. I worked on all aspects of my fitness during CrossFit class, but focused primarily on perfecting Olympic Weightlifting techniques outside of class. I earned my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certification in June of 2016 and immediately started coaching. I have been coaching CrossFit for a little over a year and have logged 200+ hours of coaching.
